I'm a part-time artist, full time community support professional, and a chronic illness/disability advocate. I was diagnosed with a rare neuromuscular disease when I was a child, and the act of creating became one of the most important parts of my treatment and acceptance of my condition. Eventually it became clear that making art was a passion that I needed to pursue.
I studied painting at a small liberal arts school on the North Shore of Massachusetts. My work is gestural, atmospheric, and a little contemplative - each piece is a momentary narrative. It settles somewhere between impressionist and abstract, and is almost always inspired by nature and travel.
